A wheelchair is a chair mounted on large wheels for use by sick or disabled people,
especially people who find it difficult or impossible to walk. A wheelchair allows
chairbound folks to move around rather than remain trapped and sitting in one place.
Some wheelchairs are motorized, usually by an electric motor. Other wheelchairs
depend upon the user to move the chair by pushing on annular rails attached to the
large wheels on either side of the seat.
Sometimes, motorized wheelchairs are called motor scooters.
