Hamburger is ground or chopped meat, usually beef. A hamburger is a patty of such
meat, cooked by frying, grilling, broiling, or baking. A hamburger is also a
sandwich made with such a patty, usually served on a roll or bun. If cheese is placed
on a hamburger patty, and served on a bun or roll, it is called a cheeseburger.
Hamburgers and cheeseburgers are often served with condiments, such as ketchup,
mustard, mayonaise, lettuce, tomato slices, sliced onions, pickle slices or relish.
