The naturalist Charles Darwin is usually credited with originating the classic Theory of Evolution.
However, the American naturalist and biologist Alfred Russel Wallace actually devised a theory
that species evolve over geologic time into other distinct species years prior to Darwin publishing his theories.
Wallace's Line is a hypothetical boundry that separates the highly distinctive floras and faunas of the Oriental
and Australian biogeographic regions and passes between the islands of Bali and Lombok in Indonesia, between
Borneo and Sulawesi, and between the Phillipines and the Moluccas.
