Rust prevention is achieved by several means, including applying corrosion
resisting paint to surfaces that must be protected from rust, and other
corrosive chemical reactions.    Galvanization is sometimes used to keep
ferrous metals from rusting.    Metal surfaces will rust or corrode if they
are not chemically treated to keep air and water away.
