They take incoming torque and further step it down to a ration of 1.92:1. This effectively
delivers twice the torque to each wheel. That, combined with the rest of the drivetrain,
gives the H1 a total gear reduction of 33:1.
The depth of water through which the truck can drive, or the fording capability, is no longer classified
for the various Hummers on the market today.
