A meal cooked and served outdoors is called a cookout. Usually, you'll find
outdoor grills at a cookout. A grill is a cooking utensil
containing parallel thin metal bars; a gridiron. Usually a gridiron
is suspended above a heat source for cooking. In most cases, the heat
source is a fire, fueled by wood, charcoal briquettes, or liquid propane.
There are electric grills as well. A barbecue is a grill, pit, or outdoor fireplace used for
roasting meat, as well as a social gathering, usually held outdoors, in cookout fashion,
featuring food cooked and prepared in this manner.
In the United States, grilling and barbecuing is a popular way of preparing
meals in the summer time, and especially during summer holidays.nbsp; Shish kebab is
