Any of various swimming birds in which the necks and legs are short,
the bodies more or less depressed, the bills often broad and flat,
the sexes almost always different from each other in their plumage,
and having webbed feet are called ducks.
I'd fill my yard with ducks, and chicks, and turkeys and geese!
These kinds of farm fowl and poultry can be found on farms all across the country.
There are even exotic farms full of emus and ostriches!
Chickens and ducks and geese are all domesticated farm animals.
Baby geese are called goslings, adult male geese are called ganders, and adult male ducks are called drakes.
