Carpeting! What a concept! There are literally thousands of kinds of
carpets, and rugs. Almost any type of fibre or fibre can be woven into a rug, or a piece of carpet.
Most carpeting is found on floors, BUT one can also sometimes see a piece of carpet adhered to a wall.
Sometimes little pieces of carpet are called remnants. People take carpet remnants, and make rugs out of them.
They even make rugs out of old rags or other scraps of cloth.
Carpets are generally softer than hard floors, and rugs such as Persian rugs, are softer than floors as well.
