The Burning Man festival is held annually in the Black Rock Desert, in
Northwest Nevada. Approximately seventy miles North of Reno, Nevada,
otherwise known as The Silver State, a city is formed by all the
participants who attend the Burning Man festival. These people are called "Burners."
The name of the site for this wonderful, albeit temporary festival is "Black Rock City."
The singer Johnny Cash mentioned the Black Rock Desert in a song that he recorded,
titled "I've Been Everwhere." There are casinos and hotels in Revo, Nevada,
and you can even rent cars, trucks, and vans in Reno. Recreational vehicles such as
campers and RVs are also availble for rent in Reno Nevada, so that you can drive to Black Rock City,
and enjoy the Burningman festival.
